WORK Holding – Pioneering workholding technology

Since founding the company in 1990, Triag International AG has developed and produced workholding systems for machining. As a pioneer of clever clamping solutions and with our one-of-a-kind interface, which serves as base for various workholding types, we have earned an outstanding global reputation. That makes us proud and we work hard on maintaining it.

aptoCLAMP – Workholding system for heavy duty machining

aptoCLAMP is one of the strongest workholding systems, designed for the machining of very large and heavy workpieces, weighing up to several thousand kilograms. The high clamping force of this system enables its use for heavy-duty machining. With stable, robust modules, even large plates and blocks weighing up to several thousand kilograms can be clamped on the base rails.

Machine-specific workholding solutions

We have developed tailored workholding systems for common machining centers, ensuring the highest precision, efficiency, and seamless integration.

microCLAMP – Workholding system with high workholding density

microCLAMP includes our smallest workholding modules, ideal for dedicated fixtures to achieve the highest workholding density. The microCLAMP system includes more than 50 workholding modules. The high workholding density (starting from only 15 mm between workpieces) is achieved by using the back side of the clamping modules as a stop surface for the next workpiece.

oppSYSTEM – Zero-point palleting system

oppSYSTEM is a modular palleting system that allows workpieces to be quickly and precisely clamped outside the machine and thus changed in seconds without loss of precision.

oppSYSTEM consists of a pallet with receiver chucks mounted on the machine table and at least two pallets or workpiece carriers equipped with centering- and clamping-cases.

The precisely manufactured interface between the pallet receiver chucks and the pallet allows a fast exchange of pallets, on which the workpiece to be machined is mounted and positioned outside the machine.

This achieves a very high machine running time, increasing the machine productivity and the overall efficiency of the operation.

powerCLAMP – Modular multiple workholding

powerCLAMP provides the basis for over 200 different standard modules, enabling you to make your machining processes as efficient and simple as possible. With powerCLAMP, we have combined the benefits of the classic machine vise with the modularity of an innovative workholding system. Over 200 standard modules allow for single or multiple workholding of workpieces in all sizes, shapes, and arrangements. This approach provides a high level of flexibility and maximum clamping density. Your machine operator can clamp different parts at the same time, eliminating the cost intensive downtime in single-part and small batch size production, making your production as efficient as possible.

triCENTRO – Self-centric and multiple workholding

triCENTRO offers a wide range of clamping solutions to maximize the potential of your 5-axis milling machine. Our self-centring vises are available in various sizes and designs and can be selected based on the machine and workpiece. In addition to compatibility with our rail system powerCLAMP and our zero-point system oppSYSTEM, versions for hole patterns are also available.

tripoxyMINERAL – Epoxy mineral tombstones

tripoxyMINERAL is a lightweight alternative to cast iron and steel tombstones – gentle on the machine and vibration-dampening. In 1998, we received a customer request to develop a tombstone that is both lightweight and stable but not made out of aluminium. This led to the idea of producing a tombstone made of mineral cast.

Mineral cast (also known as polymer concrete) is an artificial stone consisting of quartz gravel, quartz sand, and rock flour, with high-quality epoxy resin as a binder.

trivaCLAMP – Vacuum clamping

trivaCLAMP enables gentle and consistent clamping, even for non-uniform shaped and non-magnetic workpieces. In mechanical clamping, high forces can affect the workpiece, leading to pressure marks and deformations. Especially with larger workpieces, there’s also a risk of vibration.

With vacuum clamping, the tension is applied to the workpiece by the surrounding atmosphere. The workpieces are fixed over the entire contact surface, minimizing vibrations. Easy loading and a free working space are additional advantages.
